The 1st of 2 big days for our hurlers in @semplestadium_official tomorrow's our U-11 hurlers take to the field vs. @cashelbns @10.30am. We would love to have as much support as possible tomorrow and again on Wednesday evening for our U-13s!

Our U-13 hurlers progressed into a county final today with victory over a valiant Carrick On Suir team. Well done to all the team and we now look forward to a trip to @semplestadium_official for both our u-11 and u-13 teams! Roll on June! 🥳

Our U-13 team were victorious against Newport N.S in splendid conditions this afternoon in Drombane. We now progress and look forward to a County Semi Final. Well done to all the team and their mentors for progressing out of a very difficult group.

Under 11 A1 blitz took place yesterday.
With many of our boys pulling on the famed red and black jersey for the first time, our boys faced a huge challenge in today’s blitz in Thurles.
@corvillens gave us a stern test in the opening game but we managed to sneak out and top. A free scoring contest in round 2 saw us pinch a victory over @stmichaelsholycross . The final encounter was once again a winner take all battle with St. Colmcilles, Templemore. Led by captain Ryan Tobin, our boys gave everything they had and more. A fantastic long range score from the Templemore midfielder was the difference at the end. We wish Colmcilles well in the final. For our boys there will be great days ahead . The school is very proud of you.

Our other U11 team have reached a county final after coming out of a blitz earlier in the week so we look forward to that also!

Our U13 hurlers began their campaign with a draw against a strong Templemore side in round 1 of the championship. It finished on a final score of Scoil Ailbhe 2-7 St. Colmcilles 1-10. Well done to all involved.

Many thanks to everyone for the amazing support for our fundraiser. There was over €7,500 raised, thanks to the generosity of our parents and the community, who not only bought tickets but donated terrific prizes - which was the secret to our success. We are beyond grateful to you all. The students in our school will benefit greatly in the weeks ahead.

As our Progressive 25 Card Drive and Monster Raffle draw ever closer we were delighted to receive a signed @munsterrugby jersey by local rugby star @briangleeson_

Many thanks to Brian for this and it's sure to a hugely in demand prize on the night! Tickets are still available from our school reception and at the door on the night in what promises to be a great event!

Our 6th Class had a wonderful day out at the first

Our 6th Class had a wonderful day out at the first ever Seamus Mangan Memorial Basketball Tournament in @cbsthurles.

We entered 4 very competitive teams and were lucky enough to come out on top in one group with an overtime winning score from Harry! Well done to all boys who represented the school wonderfully today!

Many thanks to @hoopslifeacademy and @tipptalonsbc for organising a wonderful event. 🏀

FAI primary 5’s Tipperary finals today in Newhil

FAI primary 5’s Tipperary finals today in Newhill Two Mile Borris.
Our Red team topped their group, beating Newport and St Mary’s Clonmel while drawing with Nenagh CBS. In the semi final the boys knocked out Newport in a very exciting penalty shoot out. The final saw them come up against St Mary’s again. In a close contest they lost by the only goal of the game. Well done to our boys who impressed all with their skill and sportsmanship.
The blue team beat St Mary’s Clonmel in their first group game. They played Newport and Nenagh CBS in their remaining games but lost out to stronger opposition. Again our boys put in a huge effort on the day and can be very proud of 3rd place in the group.
Close call on the day. Scoil Ailbhe came incredibly close to claiming the title for the first time in their history.
Well done boys and best of luck to St Mary’s CBS Clonmel in the Munsters in May.
