On Monday, March 7th, 2011, our two Credit Union quiz teams battled it out against the best in Chapter 14 – our Credit Union chapter. After 10 rounds of very difficult questions, and a tie-breaker, our U-11 team narrowly missed out on a place in the All-Ireland final, by only one point. They were gallant losers on the night, and thrilled with their prize for joint second place.
The U-13 team were more fortunate on the night, winning the Chapter Quiz outright. With questions from Shakespeare to sport, and from dates to computer data, this quiz challenged even the adults present on the night. Both the boys and the school received prizes on the night. Many thanks to the terrific support from parents and the school on the night.Â
The U-13 team now head for the All-Ireland Final in the R.D.S., on Sunday, April 3rd. Go n-eiri an t-adh libh!
