School Day
School begins each day at 9.00 a.m.
Pupils are supervised voluntarily from 8.45 a.m.
Break is from 10.45 a.m. to 11.00 a.m.
lunch is from 12.30 p.m. to 1.00 p.m.
The school day ends at 2.45 p/m.
School Uniform / Tracksuit
Our school uniform consists of:
- Red Jumper with school crest
- Grey shirt
- Black & Red striped tie
- Black Trousers
The school tracksuit is worn for physical education, dancing and coaching, consists of:
- Black sweatshirt with red piping and school crest
- Red Polo shirt with school crest
- Black Tracksuit Pants
Healthy Lunch Policy
Our school encourages healthy eating as part of a healthy lifestyle and operates a healthy eating policy.
Parents and children should be aware that children must remain on school grounds at lunchtime
Recycling
Pupils are encouraged to be environmentally responsible by following the “Recycling Code”.
Bring only what you can eat and drink.
Use the green bin for fruit leftovers.
Take home your wrappers and containers.
Open Day
Scoil Ailbhe holds an annual Open Day in February / March every year. parents of prospective pupils get an opportunity to visit the school, view some of our pupils work and familiarise themselves with the workings of the school.

Parent Teacher Meetings
Formal Parent-Teacher meetings are held once a year in November. However, should you feel the need to consult with your child’s teacher outside of these meetings, appointments can be made through the school secretary / school homework diary.

School Rules
We expect all our pupils to:
- Obey the school rules as laid down in the school diary
- Always wear the full school uniform
- Attend regularly and punctually
- Respect themselves and others while travelling to and from school
- Display good behavior and manners at all times
- Adhere to the Anti-Bullying ethos of the school
Finally we believe our school is for the benefit of the pupils and the community. It should, above all, be a happy place where pupils work well and enjoy themselves in the process.
