Geography, as part of SESE in an Irish primary school, helps children to understand the world around them and their place within it. Through exploring their local area, Ireland and the wider world, pupils develop an awareness of the environment, sustainability and different cultures. SESE encourages curiosity, inquiry and critical thinking, while fostering respect for people and places and helping children become informed, responsible citizens.
